Ek het net een aand daar geslaap of eerder probeer slaap. Air-conditioner in ons kamer het bly afgaan. Die dakwaaier het nie veel gehelp nie, want daar is nie 'n venster in die kamer om oop te maak nie. Net 'n skuifdeur - kon dit nie oopmaak nie, want jy weet nie wat daar rondloop in die nag nie. Hi Francois,
I am rather surprised by this review. I did try to accommodate you, firstly, in another room when the aircon broke down during the night. You decided that you didn't like the room I had shown you, because it only had sliding doors and no opening windows, so I offered a room with windows. I showed you the room and you said you would think about it.
You also complained that we serve all guest at 7:30 pm, which is the usual time for dinner and wanted dinner at 17:00 in the afternoon due to ill health. Although this was not possible, I offered you a snack to tide you over until dinner, which you refused.

Hospitable and neat.

We were surprised by the beautiful room we stayed in and the friendly staff. No stone was left unturned to make our stay at Shikwari Game Reserve one for the books. We met Ann and Ian, the owners who welcomed us with a drink and showed us to our room. The views are spectacular and the animals are roaming free. We were lucky to have seen the biggest male Kudu ever! The food, which was prepared by Sue and Unecia, was to die for! We were properly spoiled and really enjoyed our stay. Noel still wanted to introduce us to his best friend, a male Zebra (Boytjie), but time cut it short. If you want the best scones and food ever, Sue and Unecia, will not disappoint you with their skills. Thank you, once again, for a fabulous weekend. We already miss all of you! We highly recommend Shikwari Game Reserve.

Relaxing treat in the bush.

Very well treated. Our guide Noel did an excellent job keeping us happy and making us feel special. The food was great. Rooms perfectly neat and evident of hosts taking care of all the small details which made the stay at the lodge even more memorable. The game drive/feeding the animals was the most unforgettable experience ever.
