Shoreline Cottage

Relaxing bliss.

The stay at Shoreline Cottage was very relaxing and got the batteries charged again! Kitchen is equipped with everything you would need, beds are comfy and the backyard is perfect for kids. Security is good too. Only complaint would be the Jacuzzi that was only producing bubbles from one jet, the rest is blocked because of the "hard" water, jets would have to be descaled regularly. Everything else was beautiful! Thanks Jacques for your help with the Jacuzzi and hopefully next time we will be able to enjoy the Jacuzzi fully and without loadshedding! Thanks again!

Pragtige huisie het bygedra tot die amazing tydtjie in Struisbaai! Goed toegerus en die Jacuzzi was 'n absolute bederf!

Baie skoon en gerieflik.

Oor die algemeen was die geriewe baie goed en skoon en netjies. Al waarmee ons gesukkel het, was die jacuzzi. Ons kon nie die 'jets' of borrels aangeskakel kry nie, wat jammer was.

Relaxing stay in a beautiful location.

The cottage was very neat and comfortable, with a kitchen lay-out better than average from our past experiences with accommodation of this price range. The only two inconveniences that resulted in a lower score for value for money and customer service were the fact that the hot tub was not functional (also flagged in a previous review), and that the kitchen ran out of gas minutes after we switched the hob on. While the letting agent later stated that the gas would have been replaced if we contacted them, I feel that you do not hand over a unit to someone with insufficient gas to prepare a single meal. The reason why the hot tub is specifically raised during the review was that it was specifically required in the search during booking, and that I was willing to pay more for this unit than one without the additional feature. We reported the problem immediately, but no attempt was made to remedy it. We simply got a reply that we should try to ensure that the order in which we switch the tub on was correct. The order in which faulty equipment is switched on does not matter as it is the heat pump that tripped the cottage's earth leakage, no matter the sequence of activating the tub components. We tried. I feel that we therefore paid a little more than what we otherwise would have. This, however, does not detract from the fact that it was a wonderful stay in a beautiful part of the country.

Heerlik uitgerus!

Baie dankie, altyd lekker om by 'n plek in te stap en alles is netjies en skoon. Ons het baie lekker gekuier. Jacuzzi was 'n bonus. Ons sal beslis weer kom kuier.

Nice and peaceful, near the beach and easily accessible.

The kitchen equipment is very limited, the Jacuzzi could not be used at all as it was not clean when we got there. I took photos of it. Very nice and cozy cottage. From a safety point of view it was very good!

The wifi lost connection often. No extra bedding were in cupboards, and the cottage is rather cold. We had to use the bedrooms' duvets to watch TV, but we really like the layout of the house. Very child friendly, and pet friendly, and safe with high walls at the back.

Lekker, ontspannend, veilig.

Heerlik toegrus, Jacuzzi werk en maak die kuier net nog lekkerder dat dit so naby die groot braai is. Kombuis goed toegrus, lekker geslaap op die beddens!

Verkwikking vir die siel.

Kuiertjie baie geniet - net te kort soos altyd. Shoreline Cottage is netjies, goed opgepas en perfek ingerig.

Netjies en gerieflik.

Shoreline Cottage is baie goed toegerus vir 'n heerlike kuier saam met vriende. Die toe agterplaas maak dit gerieflik vir klein kinders om op die gras te speel en vir ouers se gemoedsrus. Die Jacuzzi en braai-area is die beste plek om saam te kuier. Ons het niks kortgekom nie en sal vir seker weer hier bespreek.

Ons as familie het 'n heerlike tyd gehad by Shoreline Cottage. Baie goed ingerig, ons het lekker boek gelees, board games gespeel en die jacuzzi was 'n ekstra treat. Sal dit beslis ook aanbeveel vir gesin met kinders. Die courtyard maak dit veilig vir kinders/hondekinders en die res kan kuier met 'n geruste hard. Die hele kompleks is veilig en baie naby aan die see. Heerlike naweek!

Value for money getaway.

The cottage is beautiful and definitely value for money. Our interaction with the owners was easy and pleasant. We would definitely revisit.

Alles was ongelooflik lekker. Die cottage was skoon en baie gemaklik. Die ligging van die cottage is ook ideaal. Ons sal weer terug wees.
