Skoorsteenberg Farm and Cottages is situated on a working farm in the arid Tankwa-Karoo region, 69.2 km from Tankwa Karoo National Park and 52.3 km from the well-known AfrikaBurn site. The accommodation is ideal for those who love nature. Guests can experience beautiful sunsets and stars, encounter wildlife, feed the farm animals, or enjoy a donkey ride.
Comfortable accommodation is offered in 2 self-catering cottages, accommodating 6 guests in each. Each cottage comprises 3 bedrooms. The first bedroom contains a double bed and the other 2 bedrooms contain 2 single beds in each. The main bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and the second and third bedrooms have access to a separate shower and toilet.
Each cottage has a kitchen and lounge area opening onto a verandah, from where guests can enjoy the beautiful views and sunsets of this stark landscape. Enjoy the stars while sitting at the fire pit or round the braai. Each cottage is equipped with linen and bath towels.
Electricity and hot water is supplied by solar energy, and there is no connectivity, making it the ideal getaway from city life, where children can play and feed the farm animals. The area offers wonderful hikes, cycle and bike tracks, and a small dam to cool down in. The farm is 261 km from Cape Town.
