Description
Sneeuberg Nature Reserve is situated in the heart of the Great Karoo, between Nieu Bethesda and Middelburg in the Eastern Cape. On our 14500-hectare nature reserve, we have Nguni and a variety of antelope species. Sneeuberg provides an authentic yet luxurious Karoo experience comprising 4 accommodation options.
Kliphuis is situated in a very private location within Sneeuberg Reserve. The converted barn comprises 4 self-catering bedrooms and can accommodate up to 8 guests at a time. guests. There is a private splash pool where guests can cool off on those warm summer days.
The Poplars is a very old traditional farmhouse restored to elegance and luxury, ideal for a large family. It comprises 5 bedrooms and can accommodate up to 11 guests at a time. guests. The Poplars has a farm type pool.
Karoo Cottage is a stone cottage that comprises has 3 bedrooms and can accommodate up to 6 guests at a time. guests. The first 2 bedrooms have a double bed in each and the third bedroom has 2 single beds. They share a bathroom with a bath, shower, toilet, and basin. There is a separate guest toilet. There is a portable braai on the verandah. There is an indoor pool (not heated) that you can book with reception and it is open from 10:00 to 18:00.
Gordonville Cottage comprises has 2 bedrooms, each fitted with a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower, toilet, and basin. There is a portable braai on the verandah. The cottage is suitable for a maximum of 4 guests.
Although there are warm days, it always cools down in the evening and in winter we regularly have snow. The mountains are an important catchment area for water. There are no predators, so it is safe to walk, jog, and cycle through the reserve enjoying the landscape and wildlife.
