Description
Spirit of the Ocean is a lovely, self-catering, cliff-top home with beautiful sea views, situated in a pristine Nature Reserve in Victoria Bay. The house features wide windows, as well as decking on both sides among the unique beauty of the Fynbos vegetation. Guests can watch the birds nesting among the cliffs, and in season, watch the whales below from the open-plan living area.
The house comprises 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and a spacious open-plan kitchen, lounge and dining area with wooden floors. There is 1 bedroom upstairs and 2 bedrooms downstairs. The 3 bedrooms each contain a queen-size bed and there are 2 built-in bunk beds in the upstairs open plan living area, each bed is fitted with pure cotton sheets and duvets. The 2 downstairs bedrooms each have an en-suite bathroom with stained-glass windows and a shower, bath towels are provided. Upstairs there is also a desk where one can work with a laptop and able to see the ocean below.
The open-plan kitchen is well equipped with a fridge, oven with gas top, microwave, and kettle, as well as a washing machine, tumble-dryer, and dishwasher for guests' convenience.
There is a wood-burning fireplace in the lounge as well as a TV with a DVD player. Guests also have access to DStv but are required to bring their own DStv decoder and smart card. Free unlimited Wi-Fi access is available.
The house features a lovely, secluded swimming pool on the deck, as well as outdoor furniture where guests can relax and enjoy the peace and beauty of their surroundings. There are beautiful walking trails on the reserve and wonderful braai facilities at Ballots Bay on the reserve which can be used by guests.
While enjoying the convenience of being close to George, Mossel Bay, Victoria Bay and Wilderness and all that that entails, one can enjoy the unique beauty and quiet of the reserve.
