Incredible!

Absolutely incredible stay. The host was friendly, welcoming and so kind to my family. I cannot recommend this place enough! I celebrated my 30th birthday at the accommodation and it was honestly the most memorable stay of my life!

We really enjoyed our stay at the State of Grey. Unfortunately, we can't rate them 5 stars. A house in this price range in Calypso Beach, should by now be outfitted for loadshedding. We were informed that there is an inverter for the tv, 3 reloadable lights, gas braai for a kettle or a pot (but not to braai) and an inside fireplace to braai. As luck would have it, loadshedding 6 was scheduled for the whole weekend. When we arrived, we soon discovered there was: No gas for the gas braai (which Lizelle quickly sorted the next morning). The kettle on the gas braai leaked (which Lizelle quickly sorted the next morning). Most of the candles were used up (which Lizelle quickly sorted the next morning). The 3 lights were insufficient for the size of the house. The first few stairs to the second floor are dangerous without lights. When we contacted Lizelle late that evening, she was fast to reply, thank you Lizelle. The next morning Chico arrived early. He was friendly and eager to sort everything. We could at least have a nice ambience the next 2 nights during loadshedding, despite the cold.
