Stepping Stones

Welcoming and relaxed.

My colleague and I have stayed at Tepping Stones several times on our trips from Cape Town to Mount Frere and back. We always book there as the environment is very welcoming and relaxed, and the rooms are clean. Exactly what we need after a long day on the road.

Lovely place to stay.

The hosts were so welcoming and helped me out with an issue I had. Enjoyed my stay here, very nice to have a kitchen and secure parking.

A comfortable room with an en-suite bathroom. A small separate kitchenette with all utensils required is a bonus. A safe place to stay in a lovely small town. Highly recommended.

Die aandag aan fyn detail en die besorgdheid oor elke gas se gerief en tevredenheid maak Stepping Stones 'n uitstekende oornagplek.

Sal aanbeveel en self weer daar tuisgaan.

Slegs oorslaap.

Slaap geriewe binne in waarlik netjies, maar die erf ens. kort werklik aandag.

Satisfactory, but not great.

The owner, David Hood, was helpful and offered us an alternative to the room booked as it had a bigger bathroom. There is a communal kitchen, but it is sparsely equipped and we elected not to cook there. (Not that there is any great choice of eateries in Tarkastad!) We got the impression that the Hoods are starting out on this venture and may still be learning the ropes. We only saw David when we arrived (and when he brought us a broom to sweep out the room). There were some thoughtful touches (rusks & milk at the coffee station & chocolates on the pillow), and the bed was very comfortable, but the room was quite spartan. The establishment is right opposite the co-op in town and, at times, quite noisy. I don't think we would return.

Eenvoudig, maar netjies en gerieflik. Badkamermatjies en matjies op die koue teëlvloere langs die bed is 'n aanbeveling.

Die eienaars is vriendelik en behulpsaam. Wat teen die verblyfplek gesê kan word na my mening is die toestand van die dorp self. Die gebrek lê aan die deur van die munisipaliteit. Die plek is onooglik en kom onveilig vir 'n besoeker voor, gedurende die dag sowel as saans.

Warm, veilig, vriendelik, waarde vir jou geld.

Die kamer is heerlik groot en het al die geriewe wat nodig is, Dave en sy familie is uiters vriendelik en behulpsaam.

Ons is bederf met beskuit, koeldrank en later selfs appelkose vanuit hulle tuin. Ons het 6 nagte daar tuisgegaan en die ruim kamer en badkamer was baie lekker om te kon hê.

Beste slaap in die rustige atmosfeer. Alles werk, maar nie piekfyn nie. Goeie, veilige plek om te besoek.

Baie netjies en stylvol! Vriendelike mens ook!

Tarkastad op sy eie bied nie veel nie en dit was ons eerste besoek aan Tarkastad. Ons was daar vir 'n troue! Ons was aangenaam verras met die baie lekker verblyf en vriendelike mense! Kamer was baie netjies en ontbyt heerlik!
