Carrying luggage up and down 5 sets of stairs is really inconvenient. We also ran Comrades and 5 sets of stairs after 87 km hurt! Umdloti Letting informed me the day before our arrival that the lift was out of order and offered help with our luggage. However, there was no one to help us. We stayed as a family in 3 of the units in Sugar Beach for my Mother's 72nd birthday. No one told us ahead of time that they were doing maintenance work at the building. From early in the morning there was hacking and commotion, with pieces of construction debris falling down from above the "scaffolding".
