Description
Sunset View Self-Catering Cottage is an exclusive and romantic self-catering getaway on a small holding overlooking farmlands and the Southern Drakensberg. The cottage boasts beautiful views of Giants Cup.
This renovated cottage has double-glazed windows throughout, as well as insulation below the floor and in the ceiling. The cottage comprises 1 bedroom furnished with a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a very large shower, a basin, and a toilet. The open-plan kitchen contains a gas countertop with a gas oven, a halogen oven, a dishwasher, an electric frying pan, a fridge, a kettle, a microwave, and a toaster.
The adjacent open-plan living area features a TV with full DStv channels and a cosy wood-burning fireplace. Stacking doors separate the lounge and veranda. On the veranda is a built-in braai facility and another set of stacking doors open to maximize the incredible views. Guests have access to free Wi-Fi Internet access.
The cottage is within close proximity to the town’s amenities. It exudes tranquillity and peace away from city life.
The Umzimkulu River is accessible from the back of the property. Walking sticks and a picnic set are provided in the cottage.
In the private garden is a stone fire pit where you can sit and watch the sunsets over the Southern Drakensberg. There are two rescued donkeys on the property and very friendly dogs and free-roaming chickens and runner ducks.
The cottage is equipped with solar power and a backup generator.
