Description

Swaynekloof Farm is a lifestyle farm with sweeping paddocks and a picturesque game reserve, situated in the Botrivier Valley in the Overberg, 6 km from Botrivier town.

Accommodation is offered in 4 self-catering cottages and a large farmhouse with a swimming pool. The self-catering cottages overlook the Botrivier Valley and offer a tranquil getaway. Guests can enjoy a family braai or a picnic lunch on the river bank. The farmhouse can accommodate 12 guests in 4 bedrooms and on 3 sleeper couches. 2 of the 4 cottages are close together, ideal for family gatherings, and each cottage is equipped with cutlery and crockery, and glassware; plastic glasses are provided for the pool area. The farmhouse is equipped with a fridge, a washing machine, a dishwasher, a gas hob, and a built-in wall oven.

The farm offers a variety of activities for guests to enjoy such as fishing in the small dams, paddling in the river, walks in the game reserve where dogs must be on a leash, and bird watching. Fishing is on a catch and release basis. The farm has an eland and several zebra in the enclosure. There are also a few sheep to keep the grass short on the slopes and to provide free-range meat for the farm.

Unfortunately, Swaynekloof Farm does not accept bookings for parties with loud music. Guests come to the farm to relax and enjoy the tranquility. For this reason, we do not offer internet, DSTV and only limited cell phone reception. Our house, also on the farm, has cell phone reception, landline and internet which can be used by our guests in an emergency.
