One het ons kuier vreeslik geniet! Erf is baie netjies en toe! Ons hond het dit vreeslik geniet! Kamers is mooi netjies en elke kamer kon heerlik verhit word in die koue! Kombuis wonderlik toegerus met alles wat nodig is! Lekker stapafstand vanaf die dorpskern.

Comfortable cottage on the quiet side of the village.

Quaint cottage with an outdoor shower! Well appointed, clean and comfortable. Nice big fireplace and closed combustion stove for cold winter evenings.

'n Pragtige huisie binne stapafstand van al die dorpgeriewe. Die diep bad was ook 'n groot bederf!

A little disappointing.

The entire place smelt of smoke and the main bedroom only contained a three quarter bed and no burglar bars so we couldn't open the window. The front gate entrance is very impractical and the driveway should be light up at night time. It would be nice if the bath could be re-enameled.

Fantastic down time get away.

Needed a pet-friendly getaway from the usual with options for wine tasting and self-catering which The Barn met and exceeded for us and our 2 Jack Russells. Kitchen is very well equipped for self-catering with nice grass lawn and garden for the dogs to explore and fully secure.

It is a beautiful place to just let go and be. Soul food.

The house has a very tranquil feel. One can really just enjoy 'off time'. It is well equipped and a very special place to be. The best for me was that I was allowed to take my dogs along. Special to be in such a peaceful space with the human and furry family.

Beautiful old barn, beautifully decorated.

Lovely property, authentically decorated. Not really efficiently set up for self-catering with ease. But considering the eat-out options in the area, it's not a huge issue.

What a delight to be able to stay in this carefully curated and characterful home.

The old building fixtures and furniture creates a fantastic ambiance that perfectly fits the town of McGregor. I will definitely be going back to stay for longer! The Barn totally exceeded my expectations. I loved the character of the old house, and was in awe of the careful finishes that were in keeping with the heritage style of the building. It was immaculately clean with thoughtful hospitality touches. It was a privilege to stay there.

More than what I expected.

This is a nice quiet little cottage, that is well furnished and very quiet. A nice hide away from the busy city life. For a traveller, you can be ensured that you will relax and refresh yourself. Very old authentic experience, with all the modern qualities of life.

Het ons harte behoorlik laat sing!

Wat 'n oulike plekkie met vrek baie atmosfeer! Tina het uit haar pad gegaan om ons welkom te laat voel! Ons kon ons twee hondekinders saamneem, want die erf was mooi omhein. Na maande van lockdown was dit heerlik om voor die kaggel te kon sit met 'n glasie wyn. Die kombuis is besonders goed ingerig, die kamers lieflik skoon en die buitestort onder die sterre nogal 'n wow-ervaring, om nie eens van die outydse bad te praat nie!
