Nestled in the Garden town of Uitenhage in the Eastern Cape, stands The Caledon. An ideally situated venue as you prepare to visit the Mohair Route. The Caledon offers conference and function facilities with the cherry on top being our upmarket accommodation in historical surroundings. An experience not to be missed.
The establishment features five neat and comfortably furnished en suite double rooms. Overall, the guest house can sleep 12 guests. We have 5 rooms of which one room is a family/honeymoon unit, and one is a self-catering unit. All with en suite bathrooms, TV with Mnet, tea and coffee facilities and free Wi-Fi.
The surrounding area has plenty to offer to the casual nature lover, with local nature reserves offering splendid opportunities for birdwatching. Other activities include golfing at the nearby Uitenhage Golf Club and visiting local museums. The peaceful atmosphere and gardens are complemented by water features and koi ponds and our committed personnel will look after your every need. Braai facilities are also available.This old house was built around 1880 has been stylishly restored to its original Victorian splendour.
