We had a good stay, but the facility is not impressive.

Rooms are not clean, toilets are a total turn off for someone whose hygienic conditions were not pleasing at all. Facility is not well taken care of, especially the rooms and toilets.

Surprisingly pleasant.

We were so pleasantly surprised by how lovely, clean and comfortable our room was at the Manderson. Nice big bed with fresh crisp linen. We would definitely book again when we need a place to stay in Stutterheim. Staff were helpful and efficient. A very pleasant experience all round.

Decent room - great service!

Room was clean and comfortable. Service from the friendly staff was outstanding! Food from the restaurant is good.

Rustigheid vir jou siel.

Ons tweede besoek aan die Manderson Hotel en was kamer 10 aangewys. Die decor is moeg en die verbleikte gordyne wat los hang was nie 'n goeie indruk nie. Die dennehout uit toeka se tyd het 'n mens besef dat opgradering nodig is. Enkellaag toiletpapier en badhanddoeke wat beter dae gesien het van jare se was en net groot genoeg is om belangrike dele af te droog. Vir 2 van ons was net genoeg tee ens vir een. Kombuis het aandag nodig met Alle Carte. Mix grill bestaan uit stuk hoender, skaaptjop, wors en skyfies. Is die persoon 'n chef of net kombuishulp? Die personeel is fantasies en behulpsaam. Die plek is skoon en netjies maar verbetering aan decor kan gedoen word. Die ligging tussen bome is fantasties. Om op te som was ons die enigste gaste daar en nou kan 'n prentjie gevorm word. Geen gereelde gaste dus daar is geen inkomste vir opknapping en dis 'n jammerte, want dis 'n uitstekende hotel en die ligging kan nie beter wees nie.

This was our second visit to the Manderson Hotel and we were given room 10. The decor is worn and so are the curtains which hung loosely and didn't create a good impression. The use of pinewood dating from way back when makes one realise that an upgrade is needed. Single layer toilet paper and bath towels that have seen better days and become threadbare from years and years of washing - they were just good enough to dry the more important parts. There were 2 of us, but only enough tea etc. for 1 person. Attention should be paid to the kitchen with a la carte. The mixed grill consists of chicken, lamb chop, sausage and chips. Is this person a chef or just a kitchen assistant? The staff were fantastic and helpful. The place is clean and tidy but improvement in decor is possible. The location, situated among trees is fantastic. To summarise we were the only guests there which would give you an idea. No regular guests so there is no revenue for renovation and it's a pity because it's an excellent hotel and the location couldn't be better.
