Description
The Rock Cottage presents a tranquil getaway and resting place situated in the heart of the seaside town of Hermanus, the guesthouse is 20 m from the cliff paths and 1.5 km from the town centre. Everyone who stays here sleeps away their worries with the sound of the waves crashing on the high rocks. It is here that you can truly recharge.
The cottage sleeps 2 adults. The kitchen is equipped with tea- and coffee-making facilities, gas plates, a 2-plate stove with a mini oven, a microwave, a toaster, iron and an ironing board. The bathroom has a large shower and toilet with a gas geyser that always ensures hot water. Bedding, bath towels, dishcloths and cleaning materials are provided. There is a private braai area with a small braai outside. A washing line is available. Inside, a fan and heater are available as well as a dining corner.
Guests have access to limited WiFi, secure parking, an alarm system and response. There is solar power at the cottage which may be utilised in case of load-shedding. The smart TV has OVHD channels and guests can log into their own DStv or Netflix.
Activities in the area include swimming, hiking trails, horse riding, surfing, scuba diving, whale watching, fishing, canoeing, shark cage diving, wine tasting, hiking and much more. SANSA (South African National Space Agency) is within walking distance from The Rock.
The walking trails start 200 m from the cottage and the area is quiet, peaceful, and safe. Swimming beaches can be found within 7 km to both sides, but there are a few smaller beaches, rock pools and a rock swimming pool.
