Description
The Sparrow's Nest is situated in Jeffrey's Bay, an area best known for its scenic routes, beaches, surfing, sandboarding and nature reserves. The Sparrow's Nest offers a magnificent 180-degree unobstructed view of the ocean. Wake up to stunning sunrises and fall asleep to the sound of waves breaking on the shore. Come relax and enjoy peace and tranquility.
This 2-bedroom, self-catering cottage sleeps 4. The accommodation consists of a cozy lounge area, small fully-equipped kitchenette, two bedrooms and bathroom with double shower and washing machine. The main bedroom has a queen size bed and the second bedroom has two three-quarter beds. It has its own entrance and parking area behind a remote-control gate (please note the driveway is fairly steep).
The lounge and main bedroom have sliding doors leading onto a patio which has a built-in braai. The outside shower is round the corner from the patio. There is also a Weber braai available. The kitchen is equipped with large fridge/freezer, microwave, countertop 2-plate oven with stove, cutlery, crockery. The flat screen TV has independent DSTV channels and there is free WiFi. A washing line for drying clothes, ironing board, iron & hairdryer are available.
For power outages, there are a couple of rechargeable bulbs, a chargeable torch, candles, a gas stove for making coffee/tea, and a small gas cooker. There is a drought in Eastern Cape, so we request that you use water sparingly.
Nearby, you can enjoy a sunset boat cruise on the canals at Marina Martinique which has a bistro available for meals. Other restaurants within 1 km include Walskipper and Tapas, both are located on the beach and have beach sand floors and specialise in seafood, as well as traditional South African food. The Lagoon restaurant is also within walking distance and overlooks the lagoon. Also nearby you can enjoy fishing, cycling, kite surfing, sand boarding, hiking in nature reserves, gym, bowls, golf, tennis, horse riding, deep sea fishing, sky diving and more.
