Description

The Thatch House on the Park is self-catering guest suite on the host’s securely located property, in a quiet cul-de-sac, in Randburg. The property opens onto a well-maintained park, and is ideally situated approximately 23 km from Lanseria International Airport.

This thatched-roof home can accommodate 6 guests, has a private entrance, and consists of 3 upstairs bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The main bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed, and features an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, spa bath, sink and a separate toilet; the second and third bedrooms each have 2 single beds, and share the second bathroom, which has a shower, toilet and a sink. Each bedroom also has a ceiling fan and a desk.

There is also a pyjama lounge upstairs and a private balcony off the main bedroom, overlooking the garden and park. Downstairs, the well-equipped kitchen contains a fridge/freezer, a gas oven and stove, a microwave, and a pantry. The cosy lounge features a Smart TV with Netflix and Showmax viewing; and free fast uncapped Wi-Fi Internet is available to use.

The living area leads out to the gardens, where there is a thatched-roof lapa with a large gas braai facility and dining table exclusively for guests to use. There is also a large charcoal brick braai situated in the garden. An outside room that contains a washing machine and a chest freezer is provided. The garden also has a gate that opens to Hymany Park, where guests can go walking or cycling and to enjoy the abundant bird life.

A single automated garage and off-street driveway parking is available for 2 cars. There is additional parking in the cul-de-sac. The entire guest suite is completely private with no shared space with the owner.

In case of loadshedding, a 7KVA generator powers the house during loadshedding in the evenings only (up until 10 pm). Also available are powerful LED lanterns, a gas stove and an induction whistling kettle.
