Situated in the peace and tranquillity of the African bush, Toad Tree Cabins in Sodwana Bay offers comfortable, self-catering, en-suite lodging to suit your romantic needs or your family getaway. Allow us to welcome you to our bush and dive lodge where you can experience the true spirit of Africa.

We have 2, 4, 6, 8 & 10 sleeper comfortable, fully equipped self-catering cottages with private barbecue and camp fires. The 2 or 3 sleeper en-suite cabins share a kitchen and lounge in the boma and all the units have their own bathrooms with hot and cold running water and are serviced once a day. They have plug points, fans, electronic mosquito repellents and linen. The Wi-Fi is free for the first half hour only, and is in a designated area only.

The African sunset sees you sipping sun downers beside the pool, or exchanging tales around the camp fire, watching the sparks fly into the dusk, the only sound the sizzling of meat on the braai, a log shifting in the flames and the occasional beat of an African drum.

We are in the heart Zululand, a diving and cultural paradise, home to golden beaches, fertile swamp forests, and lush wetlands, protected fauna and flora and dolphins playing in the surf. Marvel at the sight of humpback whales as they spout and gambol close to the shoreline and experience a close-up encounter with Africa’s spectacular wildlife, from the mighty elephant to the captivating dung beetle.

Toad Tree Cabins is within an hours drive from some of the world's renowned Big 5 Game reserves, namely Mkhuze, Ndumu, Phinda, Tembe Elephant Park and Hluhluwe/Umfolozi. The nearby Mkhuze Game Reserve, only 30km away is known for it’s antelope including vast numbers of the endangered nyala, serval cheetahs, African wild dog, lion and elephant. The bird life is the best SA has to offer and is truly a bird lover paradise with 420 different species including pelicans, flamingo's and yellow-billed storks.

Join us for a unique, interactive scuba diving experience with the amazing underwater creatures who have made Sodwana their home as we explore this world of incredible beauty and aquatic life that live among the many caves and overhangs of these spectacular coral reefs. Experience exhilarating launches through the surf and delight in sightings of turtles, rays, sharks and dolphin.
