Description

Underhill Farm is a 100% upcycled eco-friendly guest farm nestled in the Overberg on the banks of the Botrivier. It's less than 100 km from Cape Town making it an ideal mid-week or weekend getaway destination. The farm uses solar power, the cottages are built of recycled and sustainable materials and carefully positioned to ensure each has its own unique view, facilities, landscape and privacy.

The accommodation comprises 4 cottages on the farm; Rivendell Cottage, Hobbit Hollow, Oak cottage and Willow cottage.

Rivendell Cottage, perched on the edge of the Twaalfontein stream, has two bedrooms and one bathroom. The stoep features an enclosed braai area with ample seating. There is a plunge pool and steps down to a private fire-pit set amongst the poplar forest and next to the stream.

Hobbit Hollow is located on the opposite side of the farm set into the bank of the river. It has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and a fully equipped kitchen. The outside stoep is down some steps and next to the river, with an open braai area. It is quiet, secluded and beautifully situated with its own wier creating a natural rock pool for swimming.

Oak Cottage can accommodate 2 guests and comes equipped with a queen-size bed, a bathroom fitted with a shower, lounge area, and a kitchenette fitted with a fridge, microwave, and stove.

Willow Cottage is the most remote cottage, situated at the bottom of the farm close to where the Bot rivier and Twaalfontein streams meet. Built under a hill, with a cozy stoep, and a braai pit and hammock under the willow trees for summer afternoons. The cottage comprises a king bed and a bathroom with a shower. Other amenities include a kitchenette with a fridge, dishwasher and stove, as well as Wi-Fi and a fireplace.
