Luxurious feel, quiet and safe.

A place to chill, but close enough to many activities.

Even though it rained on both days, we still had an awesome stay at Valmont Estate. We booked both cottages as my family from Australia were visiting. The dam cottage had a large undercover verandah and a lovely view of the fields where the horses were roaming as well as the mountains in the background. The bush cottage was surrounded by indigenous bush which was filled with birdsong in the mornings. Was so peaceful away from the hustle and bustle of the holiday crowds. The location of Valmont Estate is superb for exploring all that The Crags have to offer and is a few kilometers from Nature's Valley for its beautiful lagoon and beach.

One of the worst accommodation experiences ever.

The power went off all of a sudden while watching TV after dinner, I called the owner and sent numerous messages, but they don't take calls, no reply. So we had to go to bed as there's nothing we can do in the dark, cold night. I had to wake up at midnight as all lights turned on and interfered with sleeping. I had to wake up around 3 am as the security system kept beeping, so I couldn't have a deep sleep after 10 hrs of driving. Toilet in main looks dirty with old stains inside, so we had to use the other toilet. Owner replied the next day and offered 50% off on next visit. What a joke. She expects me to come again?

Ons verblyf was so lekker. Die Bush Cottage was uiters groot, gemaklik, luuks en het die mooiste meubels in. Dit is prakties en gemaklik en is ten volle uitgerus. Die WiFi is effens stadig, maar niemand stel belang in slimfone en laptops as jy in so 'n ongelooflike mooi plek jouself vind nie. Very relaxing accommodation against the forest on a farm.

The accommodation is immaculate with full DSTV and aircon. Lee-Ann was very helpful and Watson took good care of us when we arrived - We will definitely be back for a longer stay!
