House Rules

REMOTE CHECK-IN
- We offer a remote check-in service utilizing a secure lock box. No staff will be present due to social distancing practices.
- For security purposes, you will receive check-in instructions via the message portal ONLY. These will be sent prior to check in.

SECURITY DEPOSIT
Not included in the accommodation rates and payable before check-in:
- Refundable security deposit of ZAR 1000.
- We kindly ask that you pay the security deposit seven (7) days before the check-in date to ensure a smooth guest check in experience.
- Upon receipt of proof of payment of the security deposit you will be provided with the lock box code.
- Various payment methods listed below.

EFT Payments (Bank Transfer - Preferred method of payment):
- No processing fee applies.
- Bank details will be communicated with you prior to check-in.

Zapper payments (Alternative payment method):
- Zapper payments are accepted (3.5% processing fee applies to the refundable security deposit).
- For your convenience, we have provided you with a code to scan (Please download the Zapper application to your smart phone. Zapper is compatible with Android and iOS operating systems).

Credit Card / Cash Payments:
Please note that we CAN NOT accept credit / debit card or cash payments.

NO SMOKING AND FIRE POLICY
Smoking is STRICTLY PROHIBITED on the property. Evidence of smoking will incur a deep cleaning fee (minimum of ZAR 500) determined on a case by case basis.
The use of candles are STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
Guests are welcome to BBQ using charcoal / briquettes. NO wood fires are permitted.
Fires in designated BBQs need to be supervised until extinguished.

INDEMNITY
The body corporate and the owners cannot be held accountable for any personal injuries, health related issues, damage, loss or theft of personal items.

COVID-19 POLICY
The body corporate requires that all residents and guests adhere to the below mentioned personal protective equipment (PPE) and social distancing requirements.
• Always wear a mask covering the nose and mouth.
• Sanitize your hands regularly.
• Keep your social distance of at least 1.5 meters.
Please note that these requirements are compulsory for all areas on common property.

PET POLICY
Guest pets are strictly not allowed on the property.

NOISE POLICY
Guests are encouraged to enjoy their stay but to be considerate of other guests and residents at all times particularly with reference to noise. Notwithstanding this a quiet hours policy is in effect from 22:00 until 08:00.

INTERNET AND STREAMING MEDIA
Complimentary Netflix subscription, Red Bull TV and DSTV Now (Please login using your own personal DSTV Now account). No live TV channels provided. Complimentary internet service provided for streaming services, Whatsapp, email, etc. Please note that our internet service provider enforces a 'fair usage' policy. Please refrain from downloading large downloads and updates to minimize any potential service disruption for yourself or future guests. Blatant abuse may result in the charges being recouped at the relevant internet service provider's published rates.

SEA SPRAY COMPLEX
-Guests are requested to familiarize themselves with and abide by the Sea Spray Complex rules which are clearly signposted at various points around the complex.
-The complex has 24 hour security.

PERIODIC MAINTENANCE
Please note that the property / complex undergoes maintenance and repairs periodically. To this effect the presence of equipment and / or contractors may or may not impact on your stay. We will endeavour to the best of our ability to communicate any known issues with guests beforehand.

RIGHT OF ACCESS RESERVED
Please note that, as per LekkeSlaap policies and procedures, access to the property is reserved until proof of payment is received for the total quoted accommodation value as well as the above mentioned security deposit.

APARTMENT CLEANING
Please let us know whether you would like additional cleaning services to be arranged during your stay. If so, we will arrange this through our local hosts on an ad hoc basis, subject to availability. Please note that we will do our best but cannot guarantee the availability of cleaners or exact pricing. Factors include duration, weekends and public holidays. For convenience sake guests are welcome to pay the cleaners directly in cash (minimum of ZAR 250). A post stay clean is included in the rate. This fee is on a normal apartment usage basis. An excessively dirty apartment may need additional cleaners and / or time in order to return it to a guest ready state. These additional services will be deducted from the security deposit.

POST STAY INSPECTION
- Subject to an inspection of the property, the full security deposit, less any damages, additional cleaning fees, processing fees, international foreign exchange fees or any banking transaction fees, is refundable. Please allow up to seven (7) days after checkout date for this to reflect. Please also note that we cannot be held responsible for transaction fees associated with any applicable refunds.
- In the event of damages or fees exceeding the above mentioned security deposit amount, you hereby acknowledge that you will immediately pay Voir la Mer the difference.
