Description
Vyver's Rus is situated on a private farm 10 km outside the town of Ladismith, nestled at the foot of the Klein Swartberg mountain range in the Klein Karoo. Vyver’s Rus offers accommodation in 2 charming cottages overlooking a dam, where guests can enjoy the fresh air and tranquillity of this beautiful valley. The farm is located near the popular Route 62, which is linked by tarred main roads to Cape Town and Oudtshoorn.
Kliphuis can comfortably accommodate up to 6 guests. The open plan cottage comprises a sleeping area downstairs, a loft room, a bathroom and an open-plan living area. The living area includes a dining table and chairs, a well-equipped kitchen and a comfortable lounge area with a fireplace. The living area leads out to a balcony with a picnic bench and beautiful views of the dam and mountain. The cottage electricity is powered by solar panels, with gas geyser for hot water and stove.
Veldhuis Cottage comprises 2 bedrooms and can accommodate up to 4 guests. There is a double bed in the main bedroom and 2 single beds in the second bedroom. The cottage also comprises a bathroom and an open-plan kitchenette, lounge and dining area. The dining area includes a dining table and chairs, and the kitchenette has a fireplace. Guests have access to wood and braai facilities. This is a picture-perfect base with the majestic Towerkop Mountain in the background.
Activities in the surrounding area include hiking, horse riding, 4x4 driving, game viewing, wine tasting, and bird watching. Guests can visit the Touwsberg Private Game and Nature Reserve, located 35 km away from the farm.
