Description
The White Elephant Bush Camp & Umkhaya Cottage is located in the Pongola Game Reserve in Northern Zululand near the Swaziland border.
The Bush Camp can accommodate up to 23 guests (with a maximum of 19 adults) in 7 thatched roof chalets, each chalet presents a private verandah and en-suite bathroom. The communal area comprises an open-plan kitchen, dining room, bar and a swimming pool. Note: Rate includes only accommodation and is booked as a unit and a minimum daily fee for up to 8 guests is applicable. Extra costs will apply for more than 8 guests. Children of all ages allowed.
UmKhaya is a private self-contained thatched cottage accommodating up to 6 guests (maximum 4 adults), with 2 bedrooms. The one bedroom has 2 single beds and the other has 2 single beds and 1 double bunk bed. There are 2 bathrooms (one with bath and shower), open plan kitchen & lounge, large veranda and open braai area. It is within short walking distance of White Elephant Bush Camp should you want to bring a big group and need both camps.
White Elephant offers guests land as well as water based activities. Take part in game drives, guided walks, boat cruises, fishing and and black rhino research activities. Own boats are welcome. Enjoy the pristine wilderness setting along the shores of Lake Jozini that compares favorably to the wilds of Lake Kariba in Zimbabwe.
