Description
Wild Rescue is a beautiful 164-hectare privately owned nature reserve, rich in biodiversity and preserved for its plants and wildlife. The reserve is situated halfway between Riversdale and Still Bay and is 30 minutes from both. It is a non-profit organisation that is establishing a wildlife rehabilitation facility and sanctuary. There are over 8 km of trails that guests can hike to explore the varying landscape and many flowers. Wild Rescue welcomes visitors to enjoy being in and surrounded by nature.
Accommodation is offered in 1 self-catering cottage and a verandah double en-suite room.
The cottage do not have electricity but gas is provided for hot water, a hob and a communal fridge-freezer at the main house Candles and oil lamps are supplied, and wood is available for sale. The cottages are well equipped including linen and towels. The cottages both have an indoor fireplace in the living area, and outdoor braai.
The verandah double en-suite room is situated close to the main house and is very comfortable and does have electricity. Guests can make use of the main house kitchen and braai.
There is a fridge and freezer in the education centre. Games, reference books, and other activities are also available at the education centre and main house.
There is a natural swimming dam that is fed from the Klipfontein spring which is found on the property.
