Description
Wilgerfontein Private Game Farm lies in the heart of the Karoo, situated along the banks of the Great Fish River. The area is lush with riverine forests, Karoo bush and home to 12 species of antelope. A perfect weekend getaway for the outdoor enthusiast.
Our accommodation comprises 2 self-catering cottages offering exceptional views of the river. The third self-catering unit overlooks the dam and water-wise garden. Bedding and bath towels are provided. Electric blankets are available during winter and fans for those hot Karoo summer evenings. All 3 units have wooden decks with outdoor furniture.
Establishment facilities include braai areas and secure parking. Guests can enjoy self-game drives, mountain biking, hiking and fishing on-site. We also provide tubes for tubing down the Great Fish River.
We are just 165 kilometres from Port Elizabeth, 65 kilometres from Grahamstown, 50 kilometres from Bedford and Somerset-East and about 70 kilometres from the Addo Elephant National Park.
Please note the owners cannot accept responsibility for the state of the public gravel road to the farm.
