Zonnenstrahl Guesthouse is situated on the outskirts of the picturesque village of Nieu-Bethesda and provides comfortable, affordable and stylish self-catering accommodation for a family or group of friends. It combines old-world charm with modern conveniences to ensure a pleasant stay. The house can be reserved in its entirety for 8 guests or smaller parties can book Oupa Barend which sleeps 6 people, or Oupa Alph which sleeps 2 people.

Oupa Barend is a self-catering house that comprises 3 bedrooms. The main bedroom and second bedroom each has a double bed whilst the third bedroom has 2 single beds. The bathroom is fitted with a shower and a bath. There is a lounge area and a dining area with a fireplace. The kitchen is equipped with a stove, an oven, a fridge, a microwave, cutlery, crockery and tea- and coffee-making facilities as well as scullery.

Oupa Alph is furnished with a double bed and has an en-suite bathroom with a bath and a shower. The suite also has a lounge area with a fireplace and French doors leading out onto the patio and garden. The suite has a kitchenette with a microwave, a bar fridge, cutlery, crockery and tea- and coffee-making facilities.

Both units have French doors leading out onto the garden and patio. Zonnenstrahl also has a nice outdoor braai area available to guests. All guests have full use of the gardens and safe parking area within the gated yard.

Guests can enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and the tranquility that the Karoo offers, without any interference, because there is no TV. Enjoy the warmth of a crackling fire, the blossoms in spring, the autumn leaves and the stars.

Please note Nieu-Bethesda has no petrol, bank or credit card facilities. Fill up your tank and your wallet before you arrive.
