Cango Wildlife Ranch is an excellent family attraction situated in Oudtshoorn, in the Western Cape. Established in 1977, the ranch boasts an array of exciting activities for the young and old. Whether you want to explore the biggest and oldest cheetah centre in the world, dive with crocodiles, or love a lemur, Cango Wildlife Ranch has it all.

Cango Wildlife Ranch is an entertainment hotspot and memorable stop over on the famous Garden Route and Route 62 in the Western Cape. Visitors can enjoy a number of animal encounters, from cheetahs and reptiles, to caracal, serval, and 3 unique species of lemur. The Natural Encounters programme will allow the adrenaline junkies to enjoy cage diving with crocodiles, wrapping themselves in a python, and befriending a snake, tiger, or Nile crocodile while here.

The ranch boasts a wonderful play zone for the kids, equipped with jungle gyms, jumping castles, and a water park. Kids will love the Petting Farmyard where they can enjoy cuddling a variety of farm animals. Other features include a snake park, the Kuranda Forest, Wallaby Walkabout, and two fantastic restaurants. Grunts serves up tasty fast food while Turtles offers year-round a la carte dining. Don’t forget to browse the curio and gift shops for mementos before you leave.

Tours with bilingual guides run at unscheduled times, but visitors are ensured that they won’t have to wait longer than 30 minutes for the next tour. Tour duration: 60 minutes.
