Driftwood Café is a family friendly pub-style restaurant in Parklands, a northern suburb of Cape Town. This rustic venue has a charm of its own with both indoor and outdoor seating, huge playgrounds for the kids, a manmade lake, and ducks and chickens wandering between your feet.

The food is delicious and reasonably priced, with varied options from steaks and burgers, to pizzas and nachos. The exciting playgrounds keep the children happily entertained until the food is ready, with bridges, slides, swings, hidey-holes, and sand-pits for hours of endless, messy fun. A small water-filled dam has a wooden bridge and gazebo that provides beauty to the area and is great for taking family photos, or feeding the ducks as they paddle by. In the summer months, markets spring up on the grass, offering beautiful handmade beadwork and jewellery.
