The Frontier Museum details the history of Queenstown and surrounding districts in the Eastern Cape. This area is perhaps the most underestimated in the Eastern Cape in terms of the cultural and heritage sites that exist here, that have all played a major role in the liberation of South Africa.
The frontier marked the border between the Cape Colony and the Transkei. The museum includes an original frontier cottage, collection of beadwork, a natural history exhibit, medical equipment, and more.
