The Haute Cabriere Winery is comprised of two wine farms situated on opposite ends of the magnificent Franschhoek Wine Valley in the Western Cape. This winery typifies what Franschhoek is all about - good food, good wine, and good relaxation. The estate features one of the 30 odd restaurants in the region, while the wine bears an obvious French influence (it is simply fantastic!).
What sets this estate apart from others in the region is the cellar tour. Not only is the cellar open for functions, but any tour ends with a bottle of the estates own spectacular sparkling wine being opened by sabrage (a technique where a bottle is open by a sabre slicing cleanly through the neck of the bottle).
