The Hussar Grill in Rondebosch is the first of a large franchise famous for offering some of the very best steaks in town. Situated on Main Road, Rondebosch, the Hussar grill offers a cosy indoor restaurant and word class grills.
Starters include calamari, Italian tomato soup, snails, large black mushrooms, traditional boerewors, and a prawn and fresh avo cocktail. There is an extensive wine list available but no corkage is charged if you want to bring your own.
The Hussar Grill has a range of items on the menu, such as burgers, poultry, and seafood, but what they are most famous for are their steaks. Enjoy 200, 300, or 500g of sirloin, rump, or fillet cut steaks, as well as T-bones and game species such as kudu, springbok, gemsbok, eland, and ostrich, subject to hunt and season. House specialties include Fillet Béarnaise, Madagascan Pepper Fillet, Fillet Moutarde, Blue Cheese Sirloin, Hussar Carpetbagger, and more. All grills are served with a complimentary choice of chips, rice, mash, or new baby potatoes. Sides of creamed spinach and cinnamon butternut vegetables, pan fried mushrooms, onion rings, and cheesy garlic rolls are available at a nominal charge.
