Jason Bakery is often filled with hungry hipsters who are more than likely charmed by the slogan “Beer, bread, bubbles.†But this isn’t all they offer. What used to be Jardine Bakery has changed names, but the bacon croissants that made Jardine so famous are still around.
This cosy corner café offers a surprising blend between takeaway and sit down chic, with a takeaway hatch and wooden interior with warm lighting, wooden beam flooring, and wooden walls where you can sit down and read the newspaper with your early morning coffee. The chalkboard is always scribbled with lunch options, and there are plenty of freshly baked items. While it is rather pricey, it is justifiably so. You can even buy tokens to be exchanged for coffee at a later date.
