Jeppe High School for Girls (Jeppe Girls) is a high school for girls in Johannesburg, Gauteng. Jeppe Girls’ was rated the top school in Gauteng in a survey by the Beeld newspaper in 2010 and is one of the top feeder schools to the University of Witwatersrand. The school caters for girls from Grade 8 to Grade 12. The sister school if Jeppe High School for Boys.


There are 3 Jeppe schools in Johannesburg, each with their own premises. Jeppe Girls’ was established in 1890 when it was founded along with the boys school as a single private Anglican school under the name St Michael’s College. The school closed during the Anglo Boer War and moved to a new building in 1919.


Jeppe Girls’ has achieved a 100% Matric pass rate for the 20th year in a row. The school motto is Forti Nihil Dificilius which means “Nothing is Too Difficult for the Brave”
