Contact Details

Queenstown Girls' High School is a public boarding school for girls in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. The English medium school caters for learners from Grade 8 to Grade 12.

Queenstown Girls' High School was established in 1875 when Dr Bisset Berry demanded that his daughter and her friend be admitted to an all-boys school. In 1898, the boys and girls were separated and two different same-sex schools were established.

The red cross of St George represents bravery while the white field depicts purity and truth. The scarlet aloe is a proud symbol of the border region. The school motto is Veritas Et Virtus which means “Truth and Courage”.
