Ratanga Junction has been permanently closed as of 1 May 2018.
Ratanga Junction is Cape Town’s home-grown theme park. Situated in Century City, the park boasts over 30 attractions, including 23 rides that range from kid-friendly to family and thrill rides. Those after an adrenaline rush will enjoy getting whipped about on roller-coasters such as the Cobra, Diamond Devil Run, and Bushwacker, or conquering their fear of heights on Monkey Falls, the Slingshot, and the Congo Queen. Parents can spend time with the little ones in the children’s side of the theme park which offers mini bumper cars, kiddie’s coasters, and a Ferris wheel, or otherwise enjoy some family time at the mini golf course and picnic area.
One is sure to work up an appetite at Ratanga Junction and the varied food court is always a welcome facility. Situated in the Walled City, the food court offers everything from pizza, hamburgers, and ice cream, to chicken and boerewors rolls. For more leisurely entertainment, there is a variety of shops in the theme park as well as stalls where you can participate to win great prizes. Boat rides circulate the waterways, offering a rest for tired feet. Other exciting features include park mascots, parades, face painting, and bird shows.
The park features disabled toilets, baby changing rooms, public telephones, as well as locker, wheelchair, and pram hire facilities.
