The Bierfassl is an Austrian/German themed restaurant and pub situated in Nottingham Road along the Midlands Meander. The pub has been around for years and serves a variety of hearty meals to suit all tastes. Stop for breakfast, lunch or dinner and enjoy everything from pancakes to burgers. Visitors can look forward to fish dishes, grilled food, draught and bottled beer, and a kids' menu of burgers, toasties, ribs, and milkshakes. You can even try some food with Austrian influences on the menu, from bratwurst to eisbein (available in 3 different sizes).
The pub has over 35 different beers from around the world, including their very own local draught beers from Nottingham Road Brewery and a fine selection of wines on the Diners Club Platinum award winning wine list. Next door to the restaurant, you will find a deli offering cold meats, salami, and sausages handmade by fleischmeister Roland Reichelt, as well as home baked breads, craft beer, wine, and a variety of local and imported goodies used in the restaurant’s kitchen.
The Bierfassl can be enjoyed no matter the weather with both indoor and outdoor seating, and a fireplace with a crackling fire on cold days. There is a lovely grassy playground for kids to let off some steam.
