The Stone Kitchen is an intimate restaurant located at Dunstone Winery in Wellington, Western Cape. With wooden tables, green walls, chalkboards specials, a couch with mismatched scatter cushions, and a gnarled branch wrapped in fairy lights, it is like a home away from home. A small boutique winery is also located within the restaurant, so you can enjoy dining amongst the silver wine barrels with enchanting views of the Haweka Mountains.
The bistro offers home cooked dishes, a selection of craft beers, and an outdoor kiddies play area. A café style blackboard menu changes regularly according to available produce from the valley. Depending on the season, visitors can enjoy dining on outdoor tables, on the lawn, or in the cool cellar.
The menu offers delicious breakfasts such as French toast with flavoured Wellington dried fruit compote topped with crispy bacon; country omelettes with a choice of fillings or homemade waffles; and a breakfast platter of bacon, eggs, mushrooms, and more. The café style lunch menu offers both substantial and light dishes with fresh home grown and homemade ingredients, including home baked Ciabatta with sausages and caramelised onion chutney; fish cakes with herbed fries mixed leaves and house tartare; and beef fillet with a wild mushroom and sherry sauce.
