In the language of the Shona Tribe, the word “Zaganaga” expresses a very pleasurable emotion. Our lodge is situated in the Greater Kruger National Park in Marloth Park bordering with the Crocodile river, 3000 privately owned hectares of bushveld bordering the southern boundary of the Kruger National Park. Visitors can fly to Nelspruit, landing at Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport, 101 km from the park, or journey by car through some of our country’s most beautiful scenery.

From a Zaganaga Kruger Lodge it is a 20min drive to the Malelane and Crocodile Bridge gates, doorways to the world famous Kruger National Park, 3 million hectares of Africa at its best. Alternatively, stop over for a few days in this natural paradise before travelling on to Mozambique or Swaziland.

This luxurious yet natural setting is the perfect base from which to do day and/or organized night drives into the Kruger National Park. Visitors can also visit spectacular sites further afield….God’s Window, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, Blyde River Canyon, Mac Mac Falls…. to name but a few. Travel through the fabled Long Tom and Robbers Pass to form unforgettable memories of the picturesque magnificence of this part of South Africa.

If you simply wish to relax, read a book, scrutinize the nearby bush for wild life, enjoy safe walking or cycling around the Lodge or take a drive to the banks of the Crocodile River at Sundown and enjoy a relaxing drink and perhaps spot one of the Big 7 (Elephant, Rhino, Lion, Buffalo, Hippo, Leopard or Crocodile from the safety of a rest bench behind the fence enclosing the Kruger Park. 350 different species of birds have made their homes here.

We have five en-suite double bedrooms and can accommodate parties of up to ten people comfortably. We are also happy to accommodate visitors travelling alone. All rooms have their own private entrances. Air-conditioning, electronic safes and hair dryers are standard equipment in all suites, as well as complimentary bathroom toiletries and mosquito repelling machines and mats. High quality mattresses, bed linen and bathroom towels are supplied. Television with DSTV in living area. The lodge is self-catering and has a fully equipped kitchen including indoor and outdoor braai facilities. Enjoy your meals in the indoor living area or seated outside on the verandah. If you are lucky, a family of Zebras, Warthogs or other wildlife may saunter up hoping for a snack.
