AmaKhosi Safari Lodge is nestled on the banks of the Mkuze river in the 12 000ha AmaZulu Private Game Reserve in the northern part of KwaZulu-Natal, 40km west of Pongola. The natural blend of river wetlands and valley bushland, with the umbrella thorn trees in the north, open grassland in the south, the thick bush grassland blanketing the mountains in the west and wild game roaming free, makes this a concealed unscathed paradise worthwhile to explore.

AmaKhosi teems with ‘Big Five’, giraffe, warthog, hyena, antelope, hippos and crocodile with the wetlands area resonating with over 400 bird species and home to fish eagle, giant kingfisher, narina trogon and the spectacular purple-crested lourie, only to mention a few.
