Impangele guest house lies near the base of the Langeberg mountain range. It offers superb accommodation, furnished in tasteful contemporary African style, and boasts a peaceful indigenous garden, with mountain views.

Attention to detail is what makes Impangele very special - all the extras that you find in top hotels, such as bathrobes, slippers, hot water bottles, fabulous toiletries, as well as a hostess tray packed with goodies (even free liqueur!) can be found in the Leopard, Zebra and Giraffe Rooms. The Giraffe Room has twin beds, with an en-suite bathroom and the other rooms have queen beds, with en-suite showers.The Zebra room has been adapted to be completetly accessible for wheelchair users

The breakfast is superb - an enormous choice, and plenty of food - beautifully cooked - you won't need to lunch out after a morning at Impangele! There are beautiful views over the mountains and the valley, and there is a fragrant, blossoming garden filled with indigenous plants, attracting birds and butterflies. A unique plunge pool has been cleverly created from a redundant water storage tower - so bring your costume for a morning dip.

The house is in an excellent location - it is within walking distance of some lovely restaurants, but as it is not on the main road, it is very peaceful. A short walk in the other direction takes guests to the Marloth Mountain Reserve, with its fantastic trails, and also the nine hole golf course, reputed to be one of the most beautiful in the country. If you fancy making Swellendam your base for visiting the surrounding area, Dave and Amanda have plenty of ideas, suggestions and contacts to ensure you have a fulfilled and exciting time.

There is free Internet access, with Wi-Fi, and as Impangele only has a R50 single person supplement, it is ideal for business travellers who can use the computer suite at their leisure.

Impangele is well equipped to cater for every traveller's needs, and has been adapted to provide maximum ease and comfort for any disabled visitors. There is also a self catering Garden Cottage which can accommodate up to six people. Impangele is pet friendly, child friendly, gay friendly, wheelchair friendly - well in fact, Dave and Amanda are just friendly, warm and welcoming to all of their guests. Most importantly, the service they offer comes at an excellent price, and no-one leaves Impangele feeling disappointed with their stay - unless it was too short!
