Set in 10 acres of garden and pastures, this 150 year-old stone farmstead with original yellowwood ceilings and doors offers luxurious accommodation in either private en-suite bedrooms or in self-catering cottages. All rooms have their own entrances and secure parking. Electric gates and an intercom system control access to and from the farm.

Located on the Midlands Meander, there are many little shops where you can buy cheese (or learn to make your own), see locally made art, try on leather shoes or sample mugs of local beer, shop till you drop and eat to your stomach’s content. Midmar Dam is a 10-minute drive away and offers sailing, water-skiing and board sailing, pleasure cruises and game viewing. Golf, fly-fishing, horse riding and a treetop tour can be arranged if you are looking for a bit of adventure.

Stocklands Farm shares a common boundary with the Umgeni Valley Nature Reserve where there are opportunities for walks, bird watching and game viewing. Here you can see the mighty Umgeni River meandering in the valley, giraffes grazing on acacia trees, antelope of all sizes and these beautiful Zebra!
