Driving Directions:

10 Km’s outside Swellendam, on the N2 to George there is a BP Garage on the right hand side (if travelling from Swellendam).
Turn right at the BP Garage onto a tar road – this will become a gravel road.
Travel for 7.5 km’s (2.4 km’s once the gravel begins).
On the left are 2 houses, one with a red roof.
The small Stonehill board is attached to a pole between the 2 houses and this is where you turn left.
Go up the hill, pass through the first gate (will be open) travel for 3 km’s until you reach the second gate that will be closed. There is a big wooden “Stonehill” sign on your left.
Please slide open and close immediately as there is game that needs to stay behind the gate.
Turn immediately right and follow the “Stonehill” signs down to the thatch cottage on the river. (The thatched house on the hill is not part of the lodge; follow the road down to the river). You are now at reception.

The roads to Stonehill are not on the standard GPS mapping software.

The following directions will however assist in finding us.

The turn off from the N2 is at the following coordinates:

Turn towards Malgas at the BP garage on the corner.

Follow the road to the next coordinates:

S 34.08501
E20.53220

Continue straight. Your GPS does not recognise the gravel roads and will try to direct you to roads in it’s memory, just carry on straight.

At above coordinates a small road turns out left between 2 houses, turn left at this small road. There is a small Stonehill sign on a pole.

Drive straight on with this road to the next coordinates.

The next coordinates will take you to the main gate of Stonehill, River Lodge.

Open the gate and turn immediately right. Please ensure that the gate is closed properly to prevent the game on the farm from escaping.

Drive with caution down towards the river where you will find our reception office. (The thatch cottage on the right is not part of the lodge)
