Hi Maddison-Lee,
Thank you for your feedback. We are always striving to be better.
I apologise for the grass shown on old photos, we are in the process of taking new photos since we are upgrading with new tables etc. We had grass previously but it deteriorated. Grass would be lovely but doesn't last. We are looking at other options for these areas.
The fences are going to change altogether, so this is on the cards for maintenance. We have also just levelled all the fenced off areas to make these stands more suitable for tents.
Signing an indemnity form is common practice at any camping ground.
Much Love and lots of wags,
The Crooked Tree

Lovely quiet area with plenty of trees and privacy
There was hot water in the ablution despite power cuts. Place is clean and tidy, people are friendly. We experienced no problems. The main route that passes by can be a bit noisy at night. Take everything you need with you as there doesn't seem to be a store nearby.

Unique getaway.
The advantage is for sure the distance from the house, and the fact that the dog children could go along! The campsite is quite well maintained, and the bathrooms tidy, although the water temperature is not what one would expect from gas. The hiking trails were disappointing, they were black swamp mud. The younger dogs loved it, the older dogs and people less so. There is no water near the pitches, so take a water jug with you. The water at the washing up area is not really hot enough to wash dishes. Also expect reasonable road noise (vehicles and trucks) through the night, but this is slightly masked by the stream next to you. Only 4 or 5 of the campsites are private, so make your choices carefully! We were lucky enough to get one of these.

It was nice
We arrived as confirmed on email. Set up camp. Bathrooms rustic and clean. I was just caught off guard when we were asked if payment and reservation had been made for our 2nd night.

Terribly noisy.
Place is beautiful and the campsite is very nice, but it is incredibly noisy. It is 100 m from the R24 and you hear cars and trucks all the time. Although the campground doesn't allow any music, their neighbors don't have the same rules and we were kept awake by very loud music and yelling that continued throughout the two nights we were there. The sound was so close, it might as well have been on the same site. We couldn't sleep at all.
