The Homestead caters for convenient 3-star Bergville accommodation. It is positioned in Geluksburg Nr Bergville, a wonderful region of Bergville.
The Homestead is a 3 star Guest Lodge in the Drakensberg based on an English Country Inn. It has standard en-suite bedrooms and family units (two bedrooms with one bathroom), as well as air-conditioned de-luxe rooms.
The Executive suite with its Four Poster bed, spa bath and double shower is also suitable for a Honeymoon couple.
Beds can be inter-changable, please specify when booking if you'd prefer a double or a twin bed.
A Conference facility with accommodation is also available should people want to break free to somewhere to concentrate, plan, team-build, brain-storm or just build friendships and relax in tranquil surroundings.
A well appointed Gazebo and dining room provides for a perfect setting for weddings of +/-120 people. A fixed menu, buffet style family meal is served in the cosy dining room, special meals being served by prior arrangement. Many a pleasant evening has been spent in the small bar ‘the Tam o’ Shanter’, with it’s definitely Scottish atmosphere.
Visitors to ‘The Homestead’ and this area of the Drakensberg can find entertainment for the whole family, having the choice of many places to hike, game view, play golf or participate in many action adventures such as 4 X 4 routes, quad biking and mountain biking. Geluksburg is centrally placed for excursions to the historic AngloBoer War Battlefields of Ladysmith, Spioenkop and Colenso. As well as Spioenkop Nature Reserve. the Royal Natal National Park and Amphitheatre, Cathedral Peak and Didima Valley, Champagne Castle valley, Injisuthi valley and our very own Tintwa and Middledale Pass valley. Qwaggashoek Game ranch is nearby +/- 16 kms, where you can see Rhinos(balck and white), Giraffe, Zebra, Hippos, Buffalo, Wilderbeest warthog running by and much more.
The Homestead has a policy of maintaining quality at extremely affordable prices making it an appealing ‘Getaway’ in todays’,spiralling cost environment, this is reflected by the fact that 55 % of our visitors are return guests.

The Homestead, Geluksburg, Bergville exceeded all our expectations. Accommodation is clean and comfortable, the home cooking excellent and hospitality outstanding. The gravel road access is generally in good condition. Situated at the foot of the spectacular Middledale Pass.
