The House of Green and Blue offers convenient self catering accommodation in East London. It is located in Hickmans River, a very popular region of East London.

The House of Green and Blue has 3 self-catering units all situated on the bottom floor of our property in the sea side Cove Rock Country Estate in East London.

Nestled behind the Cove Rock Conservancy which has splendid bush and sea views and is a 400m walk to the beach. The Estate has a mashie golf course, communal swimming pool and a tennis court.

We are situated about 5 minutes from the East London airport and 15 minutes from the centre of town.

There are resident Fish Eagles, duiker, mongoose, buchbuck, Grey Heron, Helmeted Guinea Fowl, Knysna Turaco(Lourie), African Black Oyster Catcher and the Spotted Thick knee (Dikkop) to name just a few of the wild life residing in our estate and shore.

In whale season we have the Humpback whales, Southern Right whale, Bottlenose dolphin and the occasional Killer whale. They can be spotted often feeding with the gannets out at sea.

The 3 separate entrance units have open plan kitchen/lounge areas and bathrooms. The Sea view studio (Type A) has a good view of sea with breakers. This unit has a queen-sized bed, sleeper couch and a single bed in the lounge area. The unit has a walk in cupboard and the bathroom has a bath and shower. This unit has DVD player and compact DStv and can be upgraded to the premier package.

The 2 bedroom unit (Type B) has a queen-sized bed in the one room and 2 single beds in the second bedroom. The smaller studio unit (Type C) has either 2 single beds or a king-sized bed. Both bathrooms in the smaller studio and the 2 bedroom units have showers. Both the smaller studio and the 2 bedroom units have views of the bush adjacent to the property. Both units have DStv decoders which can be activated.

All 3 units have braai facilities and are strictly non-smoking. Cove Rock is popular with anglers who fish either directly into the sea or from the rock.
