MacMac Falls, named after the scottish gold prospectors who panned here, is a great spot for a picnic while taking the Waterfalls tour.
Horseshoe Falls, Lone Creek Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, MacMac Falls, Maria Shires Falls, Lisbon Falls and the Berlin Falls make up a local “Waterfalls tour”. This roundtrip of under 100km shows the best waterfalls in this old gold-mining region. Being along the escarpment of the Drakensberg mountains, this region has a higher density of waterfalls than anywhere else in Southern Africa.
