ABOUT FISH HOEK, SOUTH AFRICA: Fish Hoek, or Vishoek in Afrikaans, is a small coastal village nestled in a valley at the mouth of the Silvermine River on the False Bay. The town is on the False Bay side of the Cape Peninsula, only 35km from central Cape Town. The journey between here and the Cape Town CBD can take anywhere between 30 minutes and 2 hours depending on the traffic, but the drive is so scenic that the time will fly by.
