"Dit was kleiner as wat ek verwag het. Nie 'n slegte ding nie. Wens net mens kon veiliger gevoel het. Ek moes die lug uit my bande blaas om op die strand te ry, maar toe ek die bande wou opblaas is daar net een plek om dit te doen en hulle kon ook nie help nie. Is net vertel die lug is op en dat ek Mbazwana toe sal moet ry. Nie iets wat ek graag wou doen met pap wiele. Sou gedink het hulle sou in hierdie opsig beter voorbereid gewees het."

"Afterwards we talked to Afrikaners who left their home in Mtubatuba after being shoft and robbed multiple times. However, despite being the only whites in the shopping centre, we felt generally safe and don't see any reason why this place was any different from the rest of Kwazulu-Natal. The place of this guesthouse is most definitely even safer, as the entire plot of farms and houses is fenced and guarded 24/7. So, a great basis for exploring St. Lucia if you have a car."

"Ons was net vir 'n langnaweek in St. Lucia, maar het omtrent alles gedoen gekry wat ons wou doen. 'n Bootrit op die rivier is 'n moet. Die Isimangaliso Wetland Park (western shore) na Cape Vidal was ook lekker, maar dit is amper 'n heeldag uitstappie op sy eie. St. Lucia is maar 'n klein dorpie en daar is nie vreeslik baie om te doen nie. Daar is wel so een of twee stap roetes en 'n boardwalk naby die strand."
