"While in Yzerfontein, pay a visit to the San Cultural Centre, !Khwa ttu, about 15 minutes drive from Kaalvoet - informative, well-presented with fascinating storytelling about the San way of life. The restaurant is worth a visit, with interesting meals and good service by the staff who are all of San heritage."

"A small town, very rustic and full of character and on a beautiful river. Good for fishing. Port Owen is beautiful with its marina and the harbour is also an interesting place to visit."
"A great sea side town. Unfortunately poverty spoil some of the tranquil atmosphere you would expect from such a place. If they can not sell you something, you have to give something. The town and beach was very dirty while we were there. Grass/bush area next to the beach is full of rubbish and no effort is put in to get rid of the dead seals laying all over the beach. The municipality must put in a major effort to get the town cleaned. Some education for the locals especially the young ones and sellers, to respect the tourists' privacy in the units. Security seems a problem as the locals do warn you about the petty crime. Lots of restaurants to choose from."
"Paternoster is 'n wonderlike klein vissersdorpie wat baie aan die toeris bied. Uitstekende restaurante, kuierplekke en interessante dinge om te doen. Ons wou nog 'n dop in die Panty bar gaan drink het, maar het nooit daarby uitgekom nie. Ons tyd daar was net te kort. Ons het wel een keer uitgery na Velddrif / Laaiplek en dit was 'n teleurstelling en tyd mors. Sal dit nie weer doen nie."
"Ongelooflike mooi omgewing met natuur, strand, stilte en heerlike weg kom. Dalk net 'n voorstel om 'n strandskoonmaak te reël tussen inwoners. Dis nie lekker om te sien dat strand so vuil is nie, was so mooi skoon toe ons April 2021 maand daar was."
