Description

A Rickety River House lies on the western bank of the Goukou River in Still Bay West. It is conveniently centrally located and only minutes from the main beach, the river mouth, and the harbour. This original coastal timber home offers an elegant and comfortable set-up with an open-plan living area and folding stacking doors that lead onto a private patio with river frontage and view.

This property can comfortably accommodate 6 guests at a time and comprises 3 bedrooms and a bathroom. The main bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed, the second bedroom contains 2 single beds and the third bedroom has a single bed and a child-only single bed. A shower, washbasin and toilet are available in the bathroom. All linen and bath towels are provided; however, guests are required to bring their own beach towels.

The bright and airy open-plan living area features a kitchen fully equipped with a gas stove, electric oven, air fryer, microwave, fridge-freezer, cutlery and crockery. For guests’ convenience, a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer are available too. Leading from the kitchen is a dining table with ample seating for everyone to enjoy their meals together. The lounge has comfy seating and a TV with DStv. Access to free Wi-Fi is available.

This living area opens onto a lovely covered wooden deck with an outdoor dining table, sun loungers and a built-in braai which is the perfect spot for a sundowner in the evening. The property is enclosed with a sliding gate and offers secure off-street parking. The property has direct access to the river which makes it ideal for boating, fishing, and kayaking.

Stilbaai also offers a healthy variety of things to do other than water sports. To start with, there are several hiking and biking trails varying in distance as well as level of difficulty. There is a 9-hole golf course as well as various local produce tastings such as locally distilled gin, cheese, wine olive oil and other olive products. There are several lovely restaurants and locally owned shops.
