African Dawn is a bed and breakfast establishment that offers quality accommodation on the slopes of Karbonkelberg in Hout Bay, with uninterrupted views of Chapman's Peak Drive.
Accommodation is offered in 3 rooms, namely the Protea Room, Jazz Room, and the Fisherman's Cottage. All three rooms are furnished with a queen-size bed and feature an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet, and washbasin. Fisherman’s Cottage has a kitchenette equipped with a fridge, stove and microwave. Please check the other rooms should you be more than 2 people or a family.
Guests have access to the shared living area which is furnished with a 3 piece lounge suite, a 5 seater corner couch, and a fireplace. Free Wi-Fi is also available. There is dining seating for more than 20 people.
The sliding doors lead to the outdoor entertainment area which has a dining table with chairs, a braai area, and a pool table. This area leads to a deck where guests can cool down in the swimming pool and take in the magnificent sea- and mountain views. The owner lives in a separate room on the premises.
The property is a very short drive from a vibrant market, The Bay Harbour Market that offers live music, arts and craft, and good food and drinks. Guests are welcome to enquire about being given a lift to the market.
The property is also close to wine farms in Constantia and Noordhoek, a number of restaurants, the World of birds, guided hikes up Karbonkelberg (5 minutes walk from our house), the Clay Cafe, Hout Bay beach, Art galleries, and major supermarkets.
